We are absolutely blushing with joy over these super sweet plant people created by designer, illustrator and fellow dreamer Emily Isabella. Based in New York, Emily makes incredibly unique and colourful prints and textiles for a range of projects and collaborations. We found her via her tumblr where you can get an insiders glimpse into her world and work.
All of her work makes us want to hold hands and skip through fields of flowers, and these adorable plant people look like they are living the dream. Check out some of our faves below!

Lately we've been feeling a little bit of a decorating itch. We know the studio is full of bright, colourful and crazy decorations - almost to it's capacity - but we need MORE! The only place left to explore is the roof and with an abundance of unique and eccentric lighting options out there we took a dive into the world of lighting. Take a look at some of our favourite fixtures from around the internet!
It's a pity that the roof is too low to accommodate any of these particular ideas, maybe in our dream studio!
Okay, so this might just be the cutest DIY project we have come across in a while (and thats saying something!). Who can resist some tiny, fluffly, brightly coloured fruit pom poms. We stumbled across this fabulous tutorial from Mr. Printables, one of our absolute favourite blogs and we just knew we'd be running to Lincraft for some neon wool! This one is particularly good for little ones too!
Check out some of the cute-as how to's below.

There's really nothing like a fun, bright print to spice up a room. And recently we can't seem to stop lusting over Noma Bar! His tongue in cheek design and bold colour use make for witty prints that definitely make you look twice.
His clever manipulation of simple icons gets straight to the point and always bring a smile to our faces. There's no wonder that he is one of the world's most in-demand illustrators.
These are a few of our fave prints by Bar.

If there's one thing we love at Ruby Olive it's colour. And no one uses colour quite like our new favourite artist Claire Desjardins.
Hailing from Canada, she is part of a legacy of artists in her family history. After working for many years as a graphic designer, in 2011 she put down the keyboard and mouse and dusted off her paintbrush. And the world is a better place for it! Her works have been featured around the world, most notably in association with Urban Outfitters, with prints on bags, rugs, bedding and home accessories.
The fabulous use of bright colours, abstract designs and textured paints come together to produce beautiful paintings that come to life. We are absolutely LUSTING after these gorgeous canvasses in particular.
Check out more of her work at Saatchi Art.

We just love handmade things here at Ruby Olive...and we're suckers for a cute ceramic any day!
Online design store KOROMIKO is the brain child of Tracey George, originally from New Zealand but now based in Texas. The central philosophy of the store hinges around celebrating independent designers hand-making their products to produce beautiful, unique objects.
The result is a gorgeous collection of carefully curated, functional objects for your home - here's a pick of some of our favourites x

It's no secret that here at Ruby Olive we love a good gem. But lately we have seen this fun little shape cropping up all over the place! From colourful prints to tiny candies, it seems like faceted gems could be the shape of the season!
